The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced an adjustment to the orientation schedule for prospective corps members assigned to Enugu State and Osun State under the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II mobilisation.
In a statement released on Monday by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme confirmed that the orientation programme for the affected states will now commence on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and conclude on Monday, May 18, 2026.
The NYSC attributed the change to ongoing renovation works at the orientation camps in the two states, noting that the upgrades made it necessary to adjust the timeline.
“This slight adjustment is due to the on-going extensive renovation of the Camps by the State Governments which has necessitated the change in date.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Orientation Exercise for all other states and the FCT is scheduled to be held from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026.”
The scheme advised all affected prospective corps members to take note of the revised dates and ensure compliance with the new schedule.
It also extended well wishes to all prospective corps members, encouraging them to travel safely to their respective states of deployment.
The update comes shortly after the NYSC released call-up letters for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II.
Checks indicated that deployment details were uploaded to the portal early Monday, although many candidates reported difficulties accessing the platform due to heavy traffic.
