Kwara Police Boost Security for Easter

Authorities in Kwara State have strengthened security arrangements ahead of the Easter festivities, with police deploying personnel across strategic locations to ensure public safety.

Speaking in Ilorin, Police spokesperson Adetoun Ejire Adeyemi confirmed that officers have been stationed at churches, highways, event centres, and other public places.

She said: “personnel have been strategically positioned at churches, event centres, highways, recreational locations, and other public spaces.”

“At the same time, patrol teams and tactical units have been mobilised to maintain security and provide rapid response where necessary,” she added.

Commissioner of Police Adekimi Ojo has instructed all units to intensify patrols, maintain high alert levels, and collaborate with religious leaders for effective security coverage.

Residents have been advised to stay vigilant, report suspicious movements, and ensure proper supervision of children during the celebrations. The command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property throughout the festive period.
