Governor Seyi Makinde has encouraged Muslim faithful to take advantage of the Eid-el-Fitri celebration to seek God’s guidance and offer prayers for the leadership of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
This was contained in an Eid-el-Fitri goodwill message released in Ibadan on Thursday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Suleimon Olanrewaju.
Makinde also advised Muslims to remain vigilant and exercise caution throughout the festive period.
He commended Muslims for their sacrifice, patience, and dedication during the 30-day fasting period.
The governor further urged Muslim faithful and all residents of the state to stay alert to their surroundings and promptly report any suspicious movement or activity to the relevant security agencies.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing and sustaining the overall growth and prosperity of the state.
Makinde added that his government would continue to prioritize people-focused initiatives aimed at driving development and improving the welfare of citizens.
