Easter: Osun Police Assure Residents of Safety

The Osun State Police Command has extended Easter greetings to Christian faithful while assuring residents of adequate security during the festive period.

In a statement signed by the command’s spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, the police described Easter as a season of sacrifice, love, and renewal, and confirmed that comprehensive security measures have been put in place across Osun State.

“Strategic deployment of personnel has been carried out to churches, recreational centers, major highways, and other public places to prevent any breach of peace and to guarantee a hitch-free celebration.”

The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, directed all units to intensify patrols, intelligence gathering, and visibility policing throughout the period.

Residents were also urged to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and report any suspicious activities, while parents were advised to monitor their children and discourage unlawful behavior.

The command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a peaceful, safe, and crime-free Easter celebration across the state.
