Adamawa Announces Date for Third Term School Resumption

All public primary and secondary schools in Adamawa State are scheduled to resume for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, May 4, 2026.

The announcement was made by the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board, which directed education secretaries, head teachers, and school administrators across the state to make adequate preparations ahead of the resumption.

In an official statement, the Executive Chairman of the board, Murtala Umar Babayi, emphasised the need for schools to ensure that all arrangements are in place for a smooth and effective reopening.

“This includes maintaining a clean and conducive learning environment, providing essential teaching and learning materials, and ensuring that both teaching and non-teaching staff are fully prepared,” the statement specified.

Babayi further stressed the importance of punctuality among both staff and students, urging schools to commence academic activities immediately upon resumption.
