Nigerian Army Rescues Kidnap Victim in Kogi

Troops of the Nigerian Army under the 12 Brigade have rescued a kidnapped victim during a patrol operation in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The incident was disclosed in a post shared on Sunday by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X.

According to the report, the rescue occurred around 2:07 p.m. on April 10, when troops stationed at the Forward Operating Base in Egbe were carrying out a routine patrol.

The victim was discovered abandoned in a cashew plantation in Aaru community after his captors fled upon noticing the approaching troops.

Preliminary findings revealed that the victim had been kidnapped on April 1 in Ejiba community within the same local government area.

After being rescued, he was debriefed by security personnel and subsequently reunited with his family.
