LSNSA Arrests Suspected Burglar, Recovers Gun in Lagos

Officers from the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LSNSA) have caught a suspected burglar and seized a homemade gun during a pre-dawn operation in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

The arrest, made by the Imota Command, followed tips from locals about strange and suspicious behavior in the Araromi neighborhood.

The agency confirmed the news in a social media post on Saturday.

According to the report, the operation happened early Friday morning, March 13, 2026, after officers quickly responded to the reports.

The suspect, 25-year-old Monday Enoch, was taken into custody at about 4:22 a.m.

“Acting on credible information, officers deployed to the Araromi area apprehended a 25-year-old male, Monday Enoch, around 4:22 a.m. on Friday, March 13,” the statement read.

While being questioned, the suspect reportedly confessed to having two guns and took officers to a half-finished building in the Mosafejo area of Agbowa, where they found a homemade long gun.

“He later directed the operatives to an uncompleted building in Agbowa, where a locally fabricated firearm was recovered,” the statement added.

Commenting on the arrest, the agency’s General Manager, Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, emphasized the LSNSA’s dedication to working closely with other security forces at all levels to keep the public safe.

The suspect and the weapon have been turned over to the Nigeria Police Force at the Imota Division for more investigation and possible charges.

Authorities are still working to find the second gun, which was reportedly stolen in Ogun State
