The Lagos State Police Command has deployed personnel and operational resources across Lagos State to ensure a safe and peaceful Easter celebration.
In a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer Abimbola Adebisi, the Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, directed officers to strategic locations including worship centres, recreational spots, highways, transport hubs, and other key public infrastructure.
The command also noted that special attention has been given to riverine areas, with Marine Police units deployed to strengthen surveillance and patrol operations along waterways.
Traffic management plans have been activated in collaboration with relevant agencies to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the festive period.
The police urged residents to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and report any suspicious activities. Emergency contact lines were also provided for quick response.
The command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property while wishing residents a peaceful and secure Easter celebration.
