Gunmen Attack Kwara Community, Abduct Five Residents

Residents of Odo-Ore in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State were thrown into panic after armed men launched a late-night attack, abducting at least five people.

The gunmen, reportedly about ten in number, stormed the community firing into the air, creating confusion before carrying out the kidnappings. The town is said to lack a police station or any visible security presence, leaving residents vulnerable during the напад.

According to Channels Television, the attackers targeted the home of Alhaji Yusuf Yunusa, a well-known politician and school proprietor, where they seized him at gunpoint. They also abducted four others while leaving the area.

A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, suggested the operation may have involved insider information.

“The attack on Alhaji Yusuf can be attributed to the handiwork of informants, because they went straight to his residence to abduct him.

“He was preparing to sleep around 11 p.m. when they forced their way through his gate, broke the main door of his house, and took him away,” she said.

As of the time of reporting, the Kwara State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
