Four Killed in Suspected Herdsmen Attack in Benue

At least four people have been confirmed dead after suspected armed herdsmen launched an attack on a community in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.

The assault, which occurred on Saturday evening, threw the area into chaos, as residents scrambled for safety amid gunfire and confusion. Several others are still unaccounted for, raising concerns that the number of casualties could increase.

Local sources reported that four bodies had been recovered as of the time of filing this report, while one victim survived the attack but remains unconscious.

Eyewitnesses described a tense and chaotic situation, with many residents fleeing into nearby bushes and neighbouring communities to escape the violence.
