DSS Arrests Woman with Ammunition in Kano

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested a 25-year-old woman, Nafisa Usman, for allegedly supplying ammunition to bandits.

The suspect was intercepted at a motor park in Kano while transporting over 200 rounds of ammunition reportedly meant for criminal groups in the North-West.

Security sources said the arrest followed intelligence that helped disrupt the supply chain before delivery.

“the arrest followed actionable intelligence, which enabled operatives to disrupt the supply chain before the delivery could be completed.”

During interrogation, she allegedly confessed to participating in the illegal trade for about two months and facilitating transactions worth around N5 million.

Authorities say investigations are ongoing to apprehend other members of the network.
