The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has once again increased the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to ₦1,175 per litre, marking the third price hike for petrol in just seven days.
This latest adjustment, communicated to marketers and depot operators on Monday, pushes the ex-depot price up by ₦180 from the ₦995 per litre announced on Friday. This represents a significant 18.1 percent surge in only three days.
Reports also indicate that the refinery has adjusted the gantry price for Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) to ₦1,620 per litre.
This fresh increase follows earlier adjustments last week that saw gantry prices rise from ₦774 to ₦995 per litre.
GoNews had reported that the refinery recently increased its PMS to N995 per liter, up from N874 at the weekend.
