Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala was the star of the show as Al Hilal Women secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Al Qadsiah Women to book a place in the final of the Saudi Women’s Cup.
The former Barcelona forward produced a clinical display in front of goal, netting three times to help her side complete a dominant 7-2 aggregate win over their opponents.
Having already claimed a 2-1 advantage in the first leg, Al Hilal entered the return fixture with confidence and quickly took control of the contest.
Oshoala opened her account in the first half and added another before the break as Al Hilal overwhelmed Al Qadsiah with relentless attacking pressure.
The Nigerian international later sealed her hat-trick in the 73rd minute, putting the result beyond doubt and further highlighting her importance to the team this season.
The latest performance takes Oshoala’s tally to 23 goals alongside six assists across all competitions, continuing an impressive campaign for the Super Falcons star in Saudi Arabia.
Al Hilal will now face either Al Ula Women or Al Nassr Women in the final as they aim to lift the Saudi Women’s Cup title.
Interestingly, Nigeria international Ashleigh Plumptre currently plays for Al Nassr and could potentially face Oshoala in the final if her club advances.
