The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has paid tribute to workers across the state as Nigeria marks International Workers’ Day, acknowledging their critical role in driving development and economic growth.
In a statement released on Friday, the Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, praised workers for their commitment, resilience, and dedication to duty, noting that their efforts continue to sustain the state’s progress.
He described the workforce as a cornerstone of Lagos’ advancement, emphasizing that their contributions have helped maintain the state’s reputation as a centre of excellence.
Ojelabi pointed out that since the return to democratic governance, workers have consistently played a central role in the achievements recorded in Lagos, serving as the backbone of its developmental strides.
He also recognised the contributions of workers across Nigeria under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, noting that their collective efforts have supported stability and economic progress nationwide.
According to him, the APC-led administration remains focused on ensuring prompt salary payments and improving labour conditions in line with global standards.
The party chairman further commended youths, women, and men within the workforce for their continued support and contributions to national development.
He expressed confidence that sustained collaboration between government and workers would further boost prosperity in Lagos and contribute to broader national growth.
