Trump to Address Nation on Iran Tonight

White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, has announced that Donald Trump will deliver a national address on Wednesday night regarding the ongoing tensions involving Iran.

Leavitt made this known in a post shared Tuesday evening on the social media platform X.

“On Wednesday night at 9PM ET, President Trump will give an Address to the Nation to provide an important update on Iran,” she said

The conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran has now extended into its second month, with recent opinion polls indicating growing public dissatisfaction with the situation.

Reports suggest that Trump has been weighing the option of deploying American troops into Iranian territory to secure the country’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium. Such an operation could take several days to complete.

If approved, the mission would likely involve elite special operations units tasked with retrieving radioactive materials. However, this would place US forces deep inside Iran, exposing them to potential attacks from short-range missiles and drones.

On Tuesday, US forces carried out strikes on a city in Iran believed to host one of the nation’s key nuclear facilities.

Earlier, in June, the Isfahan Nuclear Energy Center was one of three locations targeted in a coordinated assault involving US B-2 bombers and a submarine.
