Tinubu Appoints New Heads for NECO, NBTE

President Bola Tinubu has approved a series of appointments across key education agencies as part of efforts to strengthen institutions under the Federal Ministry of Education.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, who noted that the changes affect agencies including the National Examinations Council and the National Board for Technical Education.

Among the appointments, Prof. Modupe Adeola Adelabu was named Chairman of NECO’s Governing Board, while Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi retains his position as Registrar. Prof. Babatunde Salako was appointed Chairman of NBTE, with Prof. Idris Bugaje continuing as Executive Secretary for a second and final term.

In the polytechnic sector, Dr Bongfa Binfa was appointed Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, N’yak-Shendam, Plateau State, succeeding Dr Mukaila Zakari Ya’u.

The President also renewed the tenure of Prof. Chinwe Veronica Anunobi as Director-General of the National Library of Nigeria.
