Sanwo-Olu Gives Official Vehicles to Lagos Civil Servants

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has presented new official vehicles to Level 17 officers in the Lagos State Public Service, in a move aimed at boosting efficiency and overall performance across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the governor underscored the importance of senior directors in driving effective governance and ensuring that government policies translate into real results.

“These are Directors who play a key role in how our Ministries, Departments, and Agencies deliver results. Supporting them is a practical step to help them do their work better,” he said.

The vehicles, allocated to top-level officials responsible for overseeing key operations, are expected to ease movement for official duties, improve coordination, and enable quicker responses to urgent matters across the state.

Sanwo-Olu also highlighted the link between staff motivation and the quality of governance, noting that providing the right tools empowers public servants to perform at their best.

“A motivated public service is at the heart of good governance. When people are properly equipped, they take more ownership, stay focused, and deliver with greater commitment,” he added.

The initiative is part of the state government’s broader efforts to enhance service delivery, strengthen accountability, and improve performance standards across the public sector.
