Peter Obi Donates ₦60m to Two Nigerian Universities

Peter Obi, a presidential aspirant representing the African Democratic Congress, has contributed a total of ₦60 million to two Nigerian higher institutions, as part of his ongoing commitment to bolstering educational growth and empowering the youth.

Obi presented ₦30 million to Dominican University during a visit to the school’s campus in Ibadan, Oyo State, and followed it with another ₦30 million donation to Peter University in Anambra State.

The former governor of Anambra State remarked that investing in education is one of the most lasting contributions a society can offer, emphasizing that it not only changes individual lives but also fortifies communities and equips nations to handle future obstacles.

Obi noted that he views it as a privilege to support institutions that focus on academic excellence, character building, and service to others whenever he has the chance.

In his view, these university visits were more than just formal events; they were a testament to his conviction that higher education should motivate young people to look past their current limitations and recognize their potential to make significant contributions to the country’s development.

He further explained that these donations are a reflection of his long-standing push for increased funding in the education sector as a vital route toward national advancement and social change.
