Abia State Governor Alex Otti has commended security agencies and residents of Aba for maintaining peace during a recent protest in support of Nnamdi Kanu.
“We thank the security agencies for not being violent against the residents. We also commend the Aba residents for being peaceful.”
He also warned against the destruction of farmlands by herdsmen and urged residents to avoid taking the law into their own hands.
“We are very intolerant to any herdsman destroying people’s farms. We also encourage the people not to take the laws into their own hands,” he said.
The governor added that ongoing housing projects will help address rising rent costs in the state.
