Ogun TESCOM Urges Teachers to Show Transparency

Teaching staff in public secondary schools across Ogun State have been encouraged to maintain transparency and demonstrate loyalty in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The charge was given by the Chairman of the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission, Biodun Sanyaolu, during a monitoring visit to selected schools in the Ijebu and Egba divisions as part of an ongoing statewide verification exercise for teaching staff.

Sanyaolu, who was accompanied by the Commission’s Permanent Secretary, Akintomiwa Osibodu, explained that the visit was aimed at assessing the level of compliance among teachers participating in the exercise.

He noted that the verification process is essential for updating the commission’s database of teaching personnel and will play a key role in advancing the digitisation of the education sector in the state.

The TESCOM chairman expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the staff observed during the exercise and urged them to continue cooperating with officials to ensure its successful completion.

Representatives of the teaching staff, including zonal secretaries from Ogun Waterside, Ijebu-Ode, Ikenne, and Odeda, also commended the commission for organising the exercise and pledged their support toward making the process seamless.

The monitoring visit covered several designated schools, including Abigi Community Grammar School in Abigi, Adeola Odutola College in Ijebu-Ode, Remo Secondary School in Sagamu, and Lisabi Grammar School in Abeokuta.
