Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that Donald Trump would face escalation if he continues the confrontation with Iran.
Araghchi issued the warning on Saturday as hostilities between Iran and the United States entered their seventh day.
GoNews had reported that Trump said the United States will try to keep deaths in Iran to a minimum amid the ongoing conflict.
Responding to recent developments in the conflict, the foreign minister said, “If US President Donald Trump wants an escalation, he will get it.”
Tensions began last Saturday when the United States and its ally, Israel, launched airstrikes on Iran. The attacks reportedly led to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader along with several senior government officials.
Since then, the conflict has intensified with repeated exchanges of missile and drone strikes between the sides, resulting in significant casualties.
