Iran Launches Missiles at Israel as Gulf Activates Air Defences

Missile alerts sounded across the Gulf as Iran launched fresh strikes toward southern Israel, prompting countries including the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain to activate their air defence systems.

Authorities reported multiple interceptions of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, with explosions heard across several cities as residents were urged to take cover.

Israel confirmed incoming attacks, while Yemen’s Houthi forces also launched new strikes, claiming coordination with Iran and Hezbollah.

The U.S. Central Command said it has hit over 11,000 targets in Iran, marking a sharp escalation in the conflict.

Iran, however, warned it is ready for further confrontation, with Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf stating that its forces are prepared for the arrival of U.S. ground troops.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts are ongoing, with officials from Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia meeting in Islamabad to explore a “direct dialogue” between the U.S. and Iran.

Despite rejecting a U.S. peace framework, Iran is reportedly working on its own proposal, including demands for reparations, security guarantees, and control over the Strait of Hormuz.
