The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Katsina State has condemned the recent wave of bandit attacks across communities, describing the killings of civilians and security personnel as deeply troubling.
Speaking to journalists, the party’s state chairman, Lawal Tukur-Batagarawa, expressed concern over the escalating violence, particularly in Matazu and Musawa local government areas.
He noted that the attacks have led to multiple deaths and widespread destruction, raising questions about the effectiveness of existing peace agreements in affected communities.
Tukur-Batagarawa attributed the situation to lapses in leadership and inadequate protection for citizens.
He added: “The primary responsibility of any government is the protection of lives and property, and this must not be compromised.”
The party also called for urgent and decisive action to restore peace and security in the state.
