Troops Recover Rustled Cattle in Plateau

Troops of Operation Safe Haven have recovered rustled cattle in Plateau State following a targeted security operation in Riyom Local Government Area.

The development was made known in a post shared on X on Tuesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama, who referenced information from security sources.

According to the report, troops from Sector 6 stationed at Makera acted on credible intelligence around 7:20 a.m. on Monday concerning the movement of suspected rustled cattle near the Tahoos community.

Acting swiftly, the troops launched a search-and-recovery mission in the area, which led to the retrieval of six cattle abandoned by the rustlers after they fled upon sighting the security personnel.

The recovered cattle were subsequently returned to their rightful owner.

Security sources added that troops have maintained patrols across the area to deter further criminal activities and safeguard residents.
