Troops have reportedly neutralised several bandits in Zamfara State as part of ongoing efforts to reduce attacks on travelers in the region.
The update was shared on X by security analyst Bakatsine, who disclosed that the operation occurred around Gadar Manya, on the outskirts of Anka Local Government Area.
According to the report, the bandits had been operating along the Gurusu–Gwashi route, where they allegedly blocked roads and carried out kidnappings targeting commuters.
“This evening, Troops neutralized several bandits in Gadar Manya outskirts, Anka LGA, Zamfara State. The group were known for blocking the Gurusu-Gwashi way and abducting travelers.
“Kudos to the troops for their bravery and continued commitment in restoring peace,” Bakatsine wrote.
The development highlights ongoing security operations aimed at improving safety for road users and curbing criminal activities in the area.
