Lagos State enforcement teams have arrested 17 individuals for alleged public nuisance on pedestrian bridges along the Lagos–Abeokuta Expressway.
The operation, carried out between Ladipo and Pleasure BRT terminals, was confirmed by the Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab.
“These pedestrian bridges are critical infrastructure designed for the safe passage of pedestrians, not havens for illegal activity. We will not tolerate any individual or group turning public assets into spaces for harassment, extortion, or criminal behavior.
“The seventeen arrested individuals will be processed in accordance with the law,” he said.
Authorities said the suspects will be processed in line with the law.
