The Federal Road Safety Corps Ogun State Sector Command has confirmed that three people lost their lives and seven others sustained injuries in a multiple-vehicle crash along the Abeokuta–Sagamu Road.
The incident occurred at the Onipepeye axis in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area at about 5:40 p.m. on Saturday. According to authorities, the collision involved a Sino truck and an Opel passenger car.

He explained that emergency responders promptly evacuated the injured victims to the State Hospital in Ijaye for immediate medical attention, while the bodies of those who died were deposited in the hospital’s mortuary.
The Ogun State Sector Commander, Oludare Ogunjobi, has since called on motorists to prioritise safety on the roads. He urged drivers to adhere strictly to speed limits and ensure their vehicles are in proper mechanical condition to reduce the risk of avoidable accidents.
