The victim, 22-year-old Daniel Samuel, a resident of Michika town, had on Sunday, April 12, visited the Divisional Police Headquarters in the area with visible injuries and blood stains on his body.

While speaking to the police, he alleged that two individuals—Dakiyar Tumba, aged 23, and Sini Luka, aged 31—both residents of the same area, had attacked him earlier that day and stabbed him in the back with a knife.

Unfortunately, he was later confirmed dead by medical personnel.

Providing further updates, Nguroje stated, “The corpse has been deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy,” adding that the weapon allegedly used in the attack has been recovered and will be presented as evidence during the investigation.

He also revealed that the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, has strongly condemned the incident and has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to carry out a thorough investigation.

“The state Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan condemned the incident and directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to ensure a diligent investigation and prosecution of the suspects,” Nguroje said.
