Why Kiekie Keeps Her Husband Off Her Content

Nigerian actress and content creator Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, widely known as Kiekie, has highlighted the importance of maintaining clear boundaries between personal life and professional identity.

While speaking at The Creative Blueprint 2.0, she shared how she deliberately separates her private life from her public persona as a comic star.

“I have created a very thick line between what is personal to me as Oluwabukunmi Adeaga Ilori and what is personal to my brand as Kiekie. What are the elements of my brand? Event and TV host, actor, content creator. What is my content? Comic,” she said.

Kiekie went on to explain that her husband, Tunji Ilori, does not appear in her content because “he is not funny”.

On the other hand, she occasionally features her daughter, Nola, on social media because “she is made for the camera”.

However, she made it clear that there are limits to this, noting that she only creates content with her daughter during school breaks to maintain balance.

She also encouraged fellow content creators to exercise caution, particularly when involving family members in their online presence.

“We overmilk viral moments until it becomes annoying. And that is where oversharing comes in,” she added.
