Popular Nigerian singer, Chike, has publicly accused a social media user, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, of allegedly defrauding him.
In a series of posts on X on Monday morning, Chike claimed that he had given Chioma $20,000 for a business venture, but she failed to uphold her end of the agreement.
The music star expressed that he realized he might have been defrauded only much later.
He wrote: “Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, so you are a thief? That’s how they do. They will tell you they are doing certain business. Her business is to survive on your money.
“$50,000 in the air . $20,000 of my hard earned money I didn’t see either. How do I find out this late that I’m just another person she has duped. Even me I de laugh myself.”
He issued a warning to his followers, advising them against engaging in any business with the alleged fraudster.
Responding to inquiries about the nature of his transaction with the alleged fraudster, Chike emphasized that the specifics were not as important as the alleged fraud itself.
He wrote: “Whatever business chioma sells to you is not the issue . The big issue here is that the business does not even exist, which then equates to fraud.”
The singer also disclosed that he has initiated legal proceedings to recover the funds he allegedly lost to the lady.
As of now, the alleged fraudster, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, has not yet responded to Chike’s allegations.
