Nigerian Afrobeats singer Adekunle Gold has opened up about his family’s strong connection to music, revealing that his five-year-old daughter, Adejare, is already showing signs of following in the footsteps of her famous parents.
Speaking during a recent episode of the Great Day 20 podcast, the singer said it is exciting to watch his daughter develop an interest in music, especially since both he and his wife, Simi, are established musicians.
“It is interesting to be married to another fantastic singer-songwriter and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for the music as well,” he said.
Adekunle Gold also addressed rumours circulating online about him and Simi allegedly welcoming twins. According to the singer, the reports were false.
“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins, it is just internet rumours. We have a son,” he clarified.
The couple tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in January 2019 and welcomed their first child, Adejare, in May 2020.
