I’d Trade Fame for $2 Billion – Mercy Eke

Mercy Eke, winner of Big Brother Naija Season 4, has shared a frank perspective on the balance between fame and financial success, revealing that she places far greater value on wealth than public recognition.

In a recent interview with Odira Ndubuaku, the reality star spoke openly about how she perceives fame, describing it as something she only occasionally enjoys rather than something she actively prioritizes.

According to her, fame on its own does not hold much significance if it is not backed by substantial financial gain.

She explained that she would willingly walk away from public visibility if the right financial opportunity came along, even if it meant giving up her online presence entirely.

“I only enjoy being famous occasionally. I would trade my fame for 2 billion dollars. Wettin dem dey carry fame do? Give me money and delete me from every social media platforms. I would give up my influence, everything for money,” she said.

Expanding on her point, Mercy noted that with that level of wealth, she would be able to secure a comfortable and luxurious lifestyle, including owning a private island home and providing long-term security for herself and her family.
