Nigerian rapper Dremo, whose real name is Aboriomoh Femi Raymond, has expressed frustration over what he describes as a lack of recognition in the entertainment industry.
Speaking in a recent interview with Echo Room, the rapper said he believes his talent is often overlooked and that he has not received the level of acknowledgment he deserves.
Despite this, Dremo noted that he has embraced his journey as an underdog, stating that he is comfortable with the position even if it comes with limited recognition.
He also pointed out that the situation is partly due to how rap music is perceived in Nigeria, explaining that audiences tend to favor genres like Afrobeats and pop over rap.
“I feel like I am so underrated. People don’t know what I can do in the studio. But it is okay, I like the underdog story. I feel like I am so underrated. Dem no rate me at all,” he said.
