Emirates has announced the immediate suspension of all flights to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) until further notice, citing ongoing airspace closures across parts of the Middle East.
In a post shared through its official handle on X, the airline explained that the decision was taken as a precautionary safety measure amid rising regional tensions and restrictions affecting several flight routes.
“All flights to and from Dubai have been suspended until further notice. Please do not go to the airport. Emirates will share updates when available,” the airline said in a statement.
The carrier also urged travelers impacted by the disruption to remain patient as the situation develops.
“We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience as we closely monitor the situation,” the airline added.
Earlier travel advisories had indicated that regular commercial operations would remain suspended until 23:59 UAE time on March 7. However, the latest announcement extends the halt indefinitely while authorities continue evaluating the evolving security conditions across the region.
Airlines operating throughout the Middle East have been modifying flight routes or suspending services due to airspace restrictions linked to escalating military strikes and security concerns.
“Passengers scheduled to travel through Dubai are advised to monitor updates from Emirates and check their flight status before making any arrangements to travel to the airport,” the airline said.
