Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed he will remain at the club next season regardless of whether they are relegated from the Premier League.
The Italian coach, who recently signed a five-year contract, described the role as the biggest challenge of his career, with Spurs currently sitting just above the relegation zone and fighting to avoid the drop.
“I signed five years of (a) contract because for me it is a big challenge.
“I will be the coach of Tottenham a next season no matter what,” he said.
De Zerbi, who previously managed Brighton & Hove Albion and Olympique de Marseille, has earned a strong reputation for his style of play but faces immediate pressure to keep Tottenham in the top flight.
His appointment has also sparked mixed reactions among fans, partly due to his past support for Mason Greenwood, although he has since clarified his position.
