Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes striker Gabriel Jesus could decide to leave Arsenal F.C. at the end of the current season, as the club is reportedly considering selling four first-team players during the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are said to be looking to offload at least one senior squad member as they attempt to secure a permanent deal for defender Piero Hincapié.
Speaking to Metro, Parlour suggested that Jesus may choose to leave Mikel Arteta’s team in order to find more consistent playing time elsewhere.
“I think Jesus might leave at the end of the season, he is at that age where he wants to be playing week in, week out,” Parlour said.
“We could lose him. We had four strikers when I played. That is what I don’t understand. [Regardless of Jesus leaving], bring in another one anyway. That can give the other options a lift because they see the standard being set.”
