Kwankwaso Urges Nigerians to Take 2027 Elections Seriously

Former NNPP presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has urged Nigerians to treat the 2027 general elections as a critical moment for the country.

Kwankwaso, who recently joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), made the call on Monday while registering with the party at his residence in Kano.

He encouraged citizens to actively participate in the process and ensure proper registration.

“For you to understand what I’m talking about, from today I will not allow anybody to pass the gates of my house without ADC and INEC registered cards; therefore, go out and ensure that you register accurately with our party and INEC,” he said.

ADC National Chairman David Mark described the development as significant for Nigeria’s democracy and welcomed Kwankwaso’s defection.

“We stand together today, not just as one political party but as people united to make our dear country, Nigeria, a better nation. Nigeria can be better and must work better for all Nigerians.”

He added that Kwankwaso’s move reflects a broader push for opposition unity.

“Your coming to ADC is not merely a political statement; it is a deliberate response to the clarion call by well-meaning Nigerians for all opposition leaders to be united and present a common front to protect our democracy.”
