Kano NDC Postpones Congress to Accommodate New Members

The Kano State chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has put its planned state congress on hold, delaying the process of electing party executives.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Adam Said Adam, the party’s Director-General of Social Media in Kano State.

Providing further clarification, the State Chairman, Husaini Isah Mai Riga, explained that the decision was influenced by a recent wave of prominent political figures joining the party.

According to him, the development has created the need for additional time to properly integrate the new entrants and ensure that arrangements for the congress are inclusive and well-coordinated.

Mai Riga noted that the party is committed to conducting a transparent and orderly process, which requires careful planning given the expanded membership base.

He added that a new date for the congress will be announced once all necessary preparations have been finalised.
