The domestic terminal of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja witnessed heavy disruption on Friday as members of the Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) departed for Abuja ahead of the party’s National Convention.
The convention, scheduled for March 27 and 28, 2026, at Eagle Square, is expected to attract more than 8,000 delegates, including President Bola Tinubu and members of his cabinet.
APC supporters from Lagos began arriving at the airport as early as 6:00 a.m., many dressed in coordinated Ankara outfits, creating a busy and crowded atmosphere at the terminal.
Among the prominent figures spotted were Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, a former Senate Minority Whip and member of the Governance Advisory Council, and Abiodun Ogunleye, alongside other party leaders and stakeholders.
