The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has appointed Onsachi Idris as Senior Special Assistant on Procurement.
The appointment was confirmed in a statement by Lere Olayinka, the minister’s aide on Public Communications and Social Media.
According to the statement, Idris recently retired from the civil service and brings decades of experience to the role.
“is a seasoned public servant with over 30 years of experience in administration, finance, and public sector procurement management.”
The statement highlighted his previous positions within the Federal Capital Territory Administration, including Director of Procurement.
It added that “over the years, Idris has gained extensive experience across key administrative and procurement functions, contributing to institutional efficiency and service delivery.”
The appointment takes immediate effect.
