Donald Trump has warned US allies, including the United Kingdom, that they should be prepared to act independently in future conflicts.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump criticised countries that did not support the United States during its conflict with Iran, suggesting they should no longer expect US assistance.
“You’ll have to learn to take care of yourselves because the USA won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you didn’t support us.”
He also urged allies to secure their own fuel supplies, even pointing to the Strait of Hormuz as a source.
“Iran has been, in effect, devastated. The difficult part is completed. Go get your own oil!” Trump concluded.
