Bola Ahmed Tinubu has acknowledged concerns raised by media leaders over tariffs affecting the industry, assuring them that the matter would be reviewed and corrected.
The president spoke during an interfaith iftar with media executives at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he said he had carefully listened to the discussions about tariffs impacting media organisations.
“I’ve listened carefully to you. It’s as if you’ve worked with me today. The question of tariff was discussed this afternoon.
“What I cannot report back here is whether I took action in the area that affected you or not, but if I miss that, I’ll go back to rectify it,” Tinubu said.
The president also commended media organisations for their contributions to national development, highlighting their role in job creation and public enlightenment.
“The joy is that many of you have employed people to live a life and inform people to get information, educate and strengthen our minds,” he added.
