The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Lagos State Secretariat, Surulere, has announced the official programme of activities for the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I Winding-Up and Passing-Out exercise.
According to an internal memo issued on 5th March, 2026, the NYSC Director-General has approved Tuesday, 31st March, 2026 as the official passing-out date for corps members. The exercise will be conducted as a low-key event across the state.
The memo, addressed to all Assistant Directors and Heads of Units, outlines several activities scheduled to take place before the final passing-out date.
Programme of Activities
Friday, 13th – Monday, 16th March, 2026
Job Awareness and Creation: Sensitization of corps members on job creation opportunities after service.
This programme will be conducted at the Local Government level using relevant officers from NYSC and the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).
Tuesday, 17th – Thursday, 19th March, 2026
- Release of passing-out corps members by employers
- Job Advisory & Counselling (JAC) programmes and activities
- Registration and clearance of corps members by Local Government Inspectors
- Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors
- Administration of Questionnaire (Form 4B) on 30% of passing-out corps members
Friday, 20th – Wednesday, 25th March, 2026
- Job Advisory & Counselling (JAC) programmes and activities
- Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors
- Administration of Questionnaire (Form 4B) on 30% of passing-out corps members
Thursday, 26th – Monday, 30th March, 2026
- Job Advisory & Counselling (JAC) programmes and activities
- Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors
Tuesday, 31st March, 2026
- Distribution of Certificate of National Service to deserving corps members at the Local Government level.
NYSC management also noted that officers from the Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) Department will be on ground to monitor the activities throughout the winding-up and passing-out period.
The memo was signed by Ofoegbu Ogechi, Head of the PRS Branch, who wished all officials and participants a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise.
