Kaduna Govt Advances Kachia University Road Project

Kaduna State is making steady progress in improving access to higher education, as work advances on the road leading to the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia.

According to the Kaduna State Roads Agency, the construction project has reached an important milestone. The agency revealed that the stone base phase has been completed, marking a key step forward in the development.

“With stone base works now fully completed, the project has progressed to the application of MC1 on the access road to the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia,” the agency stated.

This road project forms part of the state government’s broader effort to improve infrastructure around major institutions, especially newer federal universities that often face accessibility challenges.

KADRA explained that the initiative is designed not only to support education but also to enhance development in surrounding communities.

“This key project, executed by the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, is a strategic intervention aimed at supporting a Federal Government-owned tertiary institution and improving connectivity within the area,” the statement added.

The agency noted that the current stage of work is preparing the road for asphalt laying, which will bring the project closer to completion.

“The ongoing priming stage sets the tone for the imminent commencement of asphalt laying, bringing the project closer to completion and ensuring a smooth, durable road that will significantly benefit the university community and adjoining areas,” it said.

Once finished, the road is expected to ease movement for students and staff while boosting economic activity in Kachia and nearby areas.
