The Jigawa State Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology has dismissed a list circulating on social media that allegedly contains the names of successful applicants for the J-TEACH programme, describing the document as false and misleading.
In a statement issued by the ministry’s Director of Training and Recruitment, Sani Shitu, authorities clarified that the list did not originate from any official platform of the ministry.
According to the statement, the ministry’s attention was drawn to the document being widely shared on several social media platforms, claiming to reveal the names of candidates who had successfully passed the J-TEACH recruitment exercise.
The ministry explained that the official list has not yet been released and cautioned applicants and the public against relying on the circulating document.
It advised all applicants to disregard the list completely, stressing that the authentic list of successful candidates will be announced through the ministry’s verified communication channels once it is officially released.
The ministry also urged members of the public to depend only on confirmed information from official sources to avoid being misled by unverified reports spreading online.
The J-TEACH initiative was introduced by the Jigawa State Government to address shortages of teaching personnel in schools across the state.
