The Inter-Party Advisory Council has mourned the passing of its Zamfara State Chairman, Isah Ahmad Moriki, describing his death as a significant loss to Nigeria’s political landscape.
Moriki, who also served as chairman of the National Rescue Movement in the state, died on Monday, April 6, 2026.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Egbeola Wale Martins, IPAC expressed sadness over the development, noting that Moriki’s contributions to democratic governance and political inclusiveness in Zamfara State would be greatly missed.
The council described him as a dedicated leader and committed democrat who worked tirelessly to strengthen multi-party democracy.
IPAC also extended its condolences to his family, friends, political associates, the National Rescue Movement, and members of the Zamfara State chapter of the council, acknowledging the impact of his passing on the wider political community.
“We pray that Almighty Allah grants his soul eternal rest and gives all those he left behind the strength and fortitude to bear the loss,” the statement added.
“May Allah accept his soul and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.”
The council noted that his death represents a painful and irreparable loss, not only to those close to him but also to the broader political system in Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole.
