A grieving father in Ebonyi State, Mr. Dennis Agama, has recounted the tragic killing of his 23-year-old daughter, Caroline, who was allegedly lured away and murdered by suspected ritualists.
Caroline reportedly went missing on March 26, prompting an intense search by family and community members. Her mutilated body was discovered two days later along Iboko Road in Izzi LGA.
“We combed bushes and searched the entire community to no avail until two days later, when her lifeless body was found on Iboko Road in Izzi LGA of the state,” he said.
Agama believes his daughter was deceived through a phone call by individuals he suspects targeted her for ritual purposes. He also claimed her phone was taken and switched off to prevent contact.
“Caroline Ndidiamaka is my only daughter and before the incident, she was about to sit for her Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination at the Jordan Secondary School, Ndiebor Ishiagu Community,” Agama said.
Her brother, Christopher, described disturbing details of the discovery, alleging severe mutilation.
He said: “During the search in the evening of March 28, a male voice contacted me with late Caroline’s number and claimed that my sister’s phone was picked up at Iboko Market Square.
“But when I wanted to make an arrangement on how to retrieve the phone, the man suddenly resorted to deceit,” he said.
Authorities have since confirmed an investigation is underway, with the police anti-kidnap unit handling the case.Authorities have since confirmed an investigation is underway, with the police anti-kidnap unit handling the case.
