Nigerian singer Brymo, born Olawale Ashimi, has stirred debate online following a controversial statement about relationships and apologies.
The “Ara” crooner shared his views on social media, arguing that men should not apologise to women when the women are at fault. His remarks quickly drew attention and triggered widespread reactions.
According to Brymo, men who take responsibility in such situations are setting themselves up for negative consequences, suggesting that such actions only lead to hardship.
On his Instagram page, the singer wrote, “Nobody deserves to suffer than men who apologize to women when the women are wrong.
“And suffer they will from here, and for the rest of humanity’s earthly existence.”
His comments have since generated mixed responses, with many critics saying his stance overlooks the complexities of relationships and mutual accountability between partners
