Laide Bakare, a prominent Nollywood actress and film producer, has shared that she is preparing to get married once again, marking what would be her third marriage.
The actress made the revelation during a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, where she spoke openly about her personal life and future plans.
Interestingly, Bakare described the forthcoming union as her first “official” marriage, even though she has previously been married twice.
“I will soon be getting married officially for the first time ever,” she said.
According to her, preparations for the wedding are already underway. However, she chose to keep specific details private, including the date of the ceremony and the identity of her fiancé.
Bakare’s relationship history has been in the public eye over the years. Her first marriage was to Olumide Okufulure, with whom she shares a daughter, Simi.
Following their separation, she entered into a second marriage in 2012 with Mutairu Atanda Orilowo. The union produced two sons.
Her second marriage later came to an end after reports surfaced that Orilowo had been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in 2014 over alleged fraudulent activities.
In a previous appearance on the Real Life With Aunty Ayo podcast, Bakare had expressed a flexible outlook on marriage, stating she would be open to marrying multiple times if earlier relationships did not succeed.
