Afrobeat sensation, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has voiced his profound outrage over a disturbing viral video depicting a brutal bullying incident involving students at Igbinedion Secondary School in Edo State.
The acclaimed singer took to X on Sunday to vehemently condemn the behavior, writing, “Fuckin animals… so disgusting,” in response to the footage circulating online.
The video captures two male students relentlessly assaulting a peer who has fallen to the ground.
At one point, one of the aggressors is seen dragging the victim by his school uniform and then stomping on his chest and head, while the distressed boy cries out in agony.
A third student, who was recording the incident, can be heard pleading with the attackers to stop.
This distressing footage quickly ignited widespread outrage across social media platforms, prompting immediate intervention from the school authorities.
In response to the incident, the school in question has expelled the students directly involved in the bullying, while the student who recorded the event has been suspended.
Furthermore, in an official statement, the Edo State Police Command confirmed the expulsion of the students involved and the suspension of the student who filmed the incident.
Police spokesperson Eno Ikioyedem stated that the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, has ordered a comprehensive investigation by the Divisional Police Officer in the area.
The statement added: “The Edo State Police Command strongly condemns acts of bullying, violence, or intimidation among students, and anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law.”
